About The Organization and Membership

Mission Statement:

"Enhancing Community Awareness and Access to Complementary Care".  

 

Statement of Purpose:

 1.Network and advocate for awareness and access to complementary care for the larger community.

 2.Educate ourselves and support one another regarding complementary care practices.

 

How we accomplish the above:

  • Meet 4-6 times/year....dates TBD by steering committee, currently second Tuesday between Sept & May….5-6:30pm
  • Members post their profiles on NETme website, www.netme.us
  • Members invite other complementary care practitioners or interested people to attend as guests.
  • Occasional Guest Presenters per steering committee.
  • Distribute minutes/announcements to members, associate members and affiliates

Levels of Membership:

 1.       Member - 50% meetings/year, RSVPs intention to attend or not.   Privileges: voting rights, website presence, invites other Complementary Care practitioners or interested people to our gatherings. Receives minutes/announcements.

 2.       Associate Member - attends less than 2 times/year, RSVPs intention to attend or not.  Privileges:  attends gatherings as able.  Receives minutes/announcements.

 3.       Affiliate - have expressed an interest in the group, however can not attend gatherings.  Privileges:  receives minutes/announcements.

 

Committees:

1.       Steering Committee

Membership:  members attending Oct 12, 2010 NETme planning meeting:   Lynn Schwarz, Cheryl Daggett, Deborah Keene, Sue McMorrow.

Responsibilities:   Sets the schedule for the meetings.  Meets at least annually.  Reviews organizational matters annually.
